Tyra Walsh

Hey! I’m Tyra Walsh, an Aussie travel blogger with a serious case of wanderlust. Whether I’m exploring the secret spots of Sydney, trekking through the Tasmanian wilderness or relaxing on the beaches of Queensland, I believe travel is about more than just the sights – it’s about the people you meet along the way. My blog is where I share personal, immersive stories that capture the beauty, culture and heart of each place.

My travels take me from luxury resorts in the Whitsundays to hiking in Tasmania and budget-friendly adventures up the East Coast. Whatever type of traveller you are, I hope to provide tips and inspiration to get you out of your routine and seeing the world with new eyes.

Professional Experience

I started my blogging journey a few years ago when I figured out my love for storytelling and adventure could go hand in hand. Since then I’ve travelled all over Australia and beyond with top tourism boards, travel brands and hotels to create content that matters.

Some of my highlights include:

  • Partnering with Tourism Australia to promote eco-tourism in the Great Barrier Reef.
  • Crafting tailored itineraries for luxury travellers in the Kimberley region.
  • Writing feature articles for Australian Traveller, where I share adventure travel tips and must-see destinations.

I’ve been featured in top publications and won awards such as Best Travel Blogger Award 2023. I also promote responsible tourism and Indigenous cultural preservation.
